Cloister Area & Circulation Spine

The "Cloister" area was originally an unused space between the Chapter House and the Cathedral Nave buildings.  Except for a small covered walkway between the two buildings the area was unused.

This area is being re-developed as a totally enclosed "Circulation Spine" to provide access between the buildings.  This includes ramps to improve access for wheelchairs and people with mobility disabilities.  [The various sections of the buildings were originally constructed on slightly different levels, presenting an unfortunate challenge and obstacle for individuals with special needs.]  Once this area is complete, accessibility will be significantly improved.
