Ground Floor
This is the ground floor of the original Pa Garages #2 --
accessed by a roll-up door from River Street.
It included offices and access to an elevator that
raised vehicles from ground level to the three upper floors. Part of
the old elevator shaft has been used for the new passenger elevator.
The remaining parts of the former elevator shaft are used for an
access hallway from the new stair tower that connects to the original school
property and the Cathedral.
Renovations will provide offices and administrative areas, a
classroom and common-use area.
(Be sure to compare the condition of
the steel I-beams in the early pictures with those of the completed
project!)
