St Stephen's Vacation Bible School 2008

Grab your lawn chair and bug spray for a back yard adventure you won't want to miss! In God's Big Backyard we're not just hiking and camping, we're ready to Have a Blast Serving with Jesus!

This adventure will take place daily 5:45 P.M. to 8:15 P.M., July 13-17, at St. Stephen's, Harrisburg. Beginning each evening at the grand Tree Fort, we will explore Bible stories where Jesus uses the common element of serving to teach some uncommon lessons. Kids will explore how they can serve their family, friends, neighbors, community and Jesus, and they will hear God's Word as they travel to the Backyard Bash, Food & Fun, Bible Club, Clothesline Crafts and Community Corner.

*We are pleased to offer this year, beginning on Monday, July 14, a dinner program just prior to the start of the VBS program. Please plan to have the children arrive between 5:00 & 5:10 pm. Dinner will be served in the Undercroft until 5:40 pm at which time the leaders will escort the children upstairs to begin their backyard adventure. Child friendly meals will be prepared each night by church volunteers. Cost is $2 per day or $5 for all 4 days (per child). Money may be sent in with your mailed registration or collected at the door. Checks should be made payable to St. Stephens Cathedral. Children may also choose to bring their own meal and join the others in the undercroft. Note: no meal served on Sunday, July 13.

Also, during 1 craft session the children will decorate either a T-shirt or canvas bag. Please bring in a one that you would like to decorate. Please be sure to write your child's name on the item on an inside tag. We will collect the shirts/bags the first 2 days of the program. Extras will be on hand!

To hike into the excitement, please complete the form below and return it by July 1 to the church office or to Bernadette Kaiser, 1442 Sconsett Way, New Cumberland, PA 17070. You can also register online at www.ststep.org/vbs.htm. You will receive a confirmation email or phone call. For more information, please contact Bernadette at 774-2021 or bkaiser@wolfblock.com. We hope you can join us for fun with the family of God!
