Are you looking for a smaller, more intimate worship experience? Do you want to take a few moments to pause for worship and contemplation during a busy week? St. Stephen’s offers the following mid-week services to help you fulfill these spiritual needs.

Wednesday Morning, 7:00 am — Holy Eucharist and Healing Prayers

This is a small gathering to celebrate the Lord’s Supper in the middle of the working week. This is a spoken service (no music) which usually has less than a dozen attendees. Each week, we hear the story of one of the saints — ancient or modern — and scripture readings that relate to their life and work. After a brief discussion of the saint and the scriptures, we gather around the altar to break bread. Healing Prayers and Anointing is available for anyone who desires them. After the service, you are invited to join us as we adjourn to a nearby restaurant for an agape breakfast.

Thursday Afternoon, 12:05 pm — Holy Eucharist and Healing Prayers

This is a service specifically designed for downtown workers who are looking to get away from the noise and stress of the city for a worship experience during their lunch breaks. This service includes scripture readings, discussion, the Lord’s Supper, and healing prayers for those who wish them. The timing of this service is carefully watched to make sure you will be on your way in time.

Second Saturdays, 5:00pm — A Celtic Eucharist

This is a special, contemplative service that incorporates Celtic music and liturgical traditions. Join with the congregation in simple chant, Celtic prayers, a contemplative Holy Eucharist, and Celtic-inspired hymns. A reception is held after the service with light refreshments.
